Ana Luiza holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the State University of Londrina and a Master's degree in Genetics from the State University of São Paulo, Brazil. Her master's research focused on analyzing COVID-19 risk groups using bioinformatics. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Dr. Robson Carvalho's laboratory, where she studies cachexia associated with ovarian cancer, with a focus on bioinformatics, including RNA-Seq and single-cell RNA-Seq analyses. In November 2024, Ana Luiza joined the Bonetto Lab as a visiting researcher. Her work aims to understand the cellular communication between tumors and muscle tissue.
